Ok so. Way back in October, when I was originally invited to my mate’s wedding in Portugal, I was a little nervous about travelling for long periods of time solo, especially for the first time in a strange new country. As such, I decided a group tour would be a brilliant way to travel, and meet new people. Don’t get me wrong, there are so many good things about a well-organised group tour with a whole bunch of awesome people. But since October, oh so much has changed! Since then, I was invited to another wedding in London, and it simply DID NOT make sense to travel all the way back to Australia in between. So, here I am, on a group tour with a fair few young’ns, feeling a little silly about saying that I’m not returning home to live for a good couple of years. But that’s really it- I feel a bit silly, so what? I’ll get over it soon, I’ll have plenty of time ahead of me to have to organise getting around everywhere by myself, plenty of time to wish I had the company of another to try things, plenty of time to get tired of travelling solo. So as a good introduction to the country, I welcome this part of my travels.

We will be heading through from; Barcelona > Valencia > Granada > Asilah > Fes > Seville > Lisbon. Finishing up in Lisbon, Em and I have eagerly booked ourselves into a HOTEL (yes, one of those without the “S”), and will be looking for a few establishments to get a little spruced and glammed for the fab wedding we will be attending.
